Wesley A. Miller obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from Texas A&M University. He also holds a Master of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from the University of Texas at El Paso. His research interests include Applied Microeconomics and Public Policy pertaining to Environmental and Urban Economics.
In his professional career, Wesley has worked extensively in housing and real estate markets, including survey research with prominent trade organizations such as the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association, the Texas Apartment Association, and the Texas Manufactured Housing Association. He has published a portfolio of executive summaries on topics ranging from the effects of automation on labor markets to domestic migration trends and changing demographic profiles. Wesley has presented his research at several professional conferences, including the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas’ Emerging Trends in Real Estate Markets Post COVID-19 and Freddie Mac’s Rural Research Symposium.
Prior to his career in economics and real estate, Wesley played two years of professional football. He served as captain of the UTEP Miners and was an Academic All-American before joining the Buffalo Bills during the 2015 offseason and preseason. He spent the 2016 season oversees in the German Football League as a member of the Saarland Hurricanes.
